I know he'll learn to read better when he is ready and his older sister stops reading to him LOL.Marlishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17207863698433956073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4111228953718918006.post-86178678288362296642010-05-12T14:14:54.527-04:002010-05-12T14:14:54.527-04:00^.^ what a beautiful post!^.^ what a beautiful post!Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03113510205727830531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4111228953718918006.post-11193035101790087572010-05-09T18:07:54.100-04:002010-05-09T18:07:54.100-04:00"Sierra copied what her older siblings did. S..."Sierra copied what her older siblings did. She began watching Chase play Spore and she wanted to do it too. Playing Spore taught her how to read. She would listen to history with Chase. Marina would read to her. Eventually, workbooks were used as an excuse to stay up late. I could hear Marina helping her figure out the puzzles and other activities in the workbook when I was turning in for the night. I think she knew I wouldn't disturb an educational moment. Sierra will only learn if it is of interest or serves some purpose for her. This is how she has always been. It's why I've dubbed her "the aggressive unschooler.""<br /><br />With the exception of having an older sibling, you have just perfectly described my son and the reasons we unschool ;)Kezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15915193876879614644noreply@blogger.com
