I was sitting in the Emergency Communition Center working 911 (Florida, not NY)when the news switched to the first tower on fire. As rescue is what we do, we all turned to watch thinking that a fire had started when we watched live as the second plane flew into the second tower.

We went into immediate lock down and started notifying officials. I called my spouse and informed him. I asked where the kids were. I was so relieved when I heard they had skipped school that day.

My second memory of that day is that was the day that my little Army man (George, age 3, who loved playing soldier)decided that he would only play soldier as death is real. That day he gave up his dream to be a real Military man and become a game designer so he could bring joy back into the lives of the children who had lost their parents that day.

He's been designing games since.

Peace and Laughter my friend,
I'll try and pop into your sister's and mom's blogs and say hi.

VickiVickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03113510205727830531noreply@blogger.com
