Storytelling
Yesterday we had our monthly storytime at the library. Some months are better than others. This was definitely a good month. They went on for over an hour! I organize the core group of storytellers, but everyone is welcome to come and read or tell a tale. Sometimes the "guest" storytellers are more prepared than we are! Two girls brought scenery they had made for reading "The Walrus and the Carpenter." Jackie and Iris did an awesome job! It makes me proud when kids who were originally shy about getting up start shining like this! No matter how many times it happens, I'm still impressed, because I know what courage it takes to get up and "perform" for a group!
