I didn't get a chance to comment about your Tio Ramon - he sounds like such a nice uncle. I'm glad you were close to him and I'll pray for you, I know how sad you must be.

But as I read the post that your father mostly wrote, I was amazed at how many references to my life stood out. I was born on May 8th (his birthday) in 1963 (the year your father came to NY) and I also have a daughter named Carmen! Makes me feel close to him myself!

May his spirit and his story continue on in your family.

HAHA, funny. Yeah, our issue is when to put a silent E at the end. She knows that in many words it changes the vowel from a short to a long sound, but when she spells the word like 'have', it doesn't follow the rule. Our language is hard to teach!
