A Pool of Tears: September 11th

A tear for each name
Falling in the dust of destruction
A pool of sorrow
Covered in petals of reflection
Ripples of sadness
Spreading open in consolation
Fluttering a flag
Tattered but proud in restoration
Faces lined with the pain of mourning
Angels reach to ease their suffering

I love the imagery in your poem, Tina. The contrast of the tears, water and sorrow with the "dust of destruction". And the hope that you convey. So simple yet it says so much. Thank you. Love, Mom
