We were blessed with clear skies tonight, so we managed to get some pictures of the lunar eclipse. But why does it have to be so freezing cold whenever we get a good view of space?
Unfortunately, we weren't very scientific tonight. The first picture was taken at approximately 10:20 PM est and the second at around 10:35 PM. If the moon did anything after that, it was on its own. Our feet had become ice cubes.
We THINK we also managed to get a shot of the star Regulus. Can you see the speck on the upper right corner of this picture? That's a star. Regulus and Saturn were sandwiching the moon. Unfortunately, we didn't get a shot of Saturn.

Thank you for the picture. We couldn't see the moon because of Adee Towers. But the next morning we saw a phenomenal moon set. The moon was so bright and shiny hanging low in the western sky over the park. Worth getting up at 5:30 a.m.
Love, Mom
