Home Spun comic strip #216

Home Spun comic strip #216

And please don't get on me about listing books among distractions. They are when you are trying to convince them that math is a subject too.

I have had moments when I thought, "Maybe they would be better off in school. Maybe there would be less there to distract them."

I once apologized to Chase's Tae Kwon Do master for his lack of focus one class. I said he does much better in the later class because there are fewer kids and less to be distracted by. This wise instructor told me he prefers having the kids in the busier class. Life is distraction. They need to learn to focus beyond everything going on because there will always be distractions.

What a wise wise man.

And what a very true comic strip. We've been distracted so badly today that it's 10.42am, I'm on the computer, and we haven't even started yet....

Ho boy, it's going to be a long day. =D

I thought I was being so clever! A speck on the floor has been a major distraction to my kids!

I loved it. I loved the speck...
Around here - we'd have to add shiney objects to the list. *L*

Life is a distraction. Today between teaching grammar's helping words, I was busy typing text messages to a friend and handling my van's window getting fixed.

It's quite the day -- i want chocolate. *L*

Your comic is so true to life. And yes when we were growing up books were a major distraction. My mom had to check behind our textbooks to make sure we weren't hiding recreational reading behind it. And yes sunshine is a HUGE distraction with us! Half the time I scrap my plans and end up doing most of our school outside.

Love the speck! That hit so close to home. Even when I think I've cleared away every possible distraction, they can still find something more interesting than their lessons. :)
