I forget to look at the big picture, which shows all of the devotion.
Some days I even forget to play, which is what all the hard work is about. If I do not enjoy what I do, why do it?
Homeschooling can be like that too. Some days we work hard, we have struggles, I doubt my own ability to teach, and I wonder if I am doing the right thing. But if I step back, I see my family happy and thriving, my children engrossed in their activities, and I remind myself to enjoy it.
I remind myself to play.
Life must be lived as play. ~Plato

something from deep within my elementary school memory wants to call that position "The Frog Stand." Is that right? Seems like it should be greener. :)
What a beautiful yard you have and a wonderous place to play. I'm glad you step back to see all the amazing accomplishments.
Thanks my friend...I needed those words of encouragement. I've been looking too much at the trees...forgot the forest itself is quite beautiful indeed.
Have a {{{hug}}} from over yonder! You are doing a GREAT job!
Thank you for the gorgeous photos. Even tho I've seen your flowers in person, I still appreciate the unique perspective of a focused shot. And thank you for your words of wisdom and the comment you left on my blog. You are a joy! Love, Mom
I'm VERY impressed at your skill! I, too, must remember to play more.
P.S....Love your garden! It's very beautiful.
Lol....You ARE funny! That 'treehouse' was the start of one which ended up just as a platform. One of the trees it's around, died and then the top became dangerous. Then the Christmas Tornado 'topped it off' so now it's safe again, lol, nature at work.
Note: A snake WAS found at the top once so there is NO safe place. So far, we have never had any bites except from nettles, horse flies & mosquitos. =)
There's a double hammock deeper into those woods, too. A beautiful and cool spot to dream through the tree tops.
I agree! And thank you for your CoH submission.
Beautiful thoughts! Looking at the big picture can certainly make things seem less frightening. :)
