Home Spun comic strip #253

Home Spun comic strip #253

I'm thinking of taking a little break next week. I'm enjoying a moment of slacking off after being busy for so long. I can't tell you how many times I've inadvertently scheduled two or more activities at the same time these past few months. Somehow I figure out a way to make it work and keep going. I couldn't even tell you how I did it, since the adrenalin high from the experience has left me with few brain cells for my short term memory. All I can say is that if anyone can master the impossible, it would be a homeschooler. We sure don't do things easily!

Have a nice relaxing break. You deserve it. Just remember to come back; we love your strips and scripts. Love, Mom

Tina - You've spoiled everyone with 3 strips per week and generally 2 interesting articles/observations(?) per week. Maybe you'll have to train people not to expect something new every day - I know I check every day for something new!

Just wanted to thank you for your great comments on my post about "My Day". I wish you could have been there when that lady drove by - I felt like I was in a commercial or something. It was just so funny! And thanks so much for the wisdom about Carmen - I have read (a lot) about validating our kids feelings but I often forget - shame, shame! I will try to remember to ask her why she feels the way she does - it's SO important! And often it's something we can easily help them with (like your example of your daughter's fears of losing her toys). Yes ... their minds do work funny (or is that funnily?)

I always, always appreciate your comments and I don't care how long they are! Ever! Have a much-needed break and enjoy yourself. You deserve it!

Hugs,
Kate

If cloning ever becomes approved for humans, homeschoolers will be the first in line!

Thank you for submitting this to the Carnival of Homeschooling.
