Ah, stealth teaching. Nothing works better for those slow mornings when everyone is in a lazy mood. Simply leave the right book on the right chair or tab an enticing website to pique their interest. Sometimes I'll test out an educational site only to have a curious child beg me to give them a turn.
I probably shouldn't even write this. They have shown great interest in what I write and draw for my blog. I wouldn't want them to think I was trying to trick them into learning.

Yeah, this is wise advise. Nothing dampens enthusiasm like being told you MUST study a particular topic.

I have to say, I was cheering for your sister & brother-in-law when I read their experience. There's one little boy who won't have his little boy essence squashed out of him.

I think my children must just be naturally suspicious little monkeys or something, because it NEVER works with them. Andrew, maybe, because he's 3. But the other two? Nu huh. Count yourself blessed that it works for your brood. =) =)

Lol...Yes!! Stealth learning is awesome! I guess I should tell you that George has actually asked me NOT to find anymore great websites for awhile as he doesn't have time to play with them all! Rofl at his time management issues!

I took your suggestion and did a blog on how the Rosenberg trial affected my life. Could be an idea for stealth teaching of history, to get them thinking of how history affects ordinary lives.
