The phone. It can bring news from family and friends. It can bring unwanted interruptions. It can bring all of my children from the far corners of the house right to my side. Loudly. This is the series I wrote last year about the phone interruptions we've had.

ROFL! Fantastic! =)
Oh my good gravy, I can't even tell you how close these hit to home. I'd turn the dingity dang phone off but my son, for some reason, goes absolutely spare if he can't answer it. Why? I do not know. It's all very strange.
Alexander Graham Bell, you have a lot to answer for.
You always make me laugh. I especially like that last one. Bet that went over like a ton of bricks!
I suppose one advantage to having no friends and no family (or in hubby's case, family that doesn't bother to stay in touch) is that our phone doesn't ring often. Any calls we do receive are usually the library letting us know holds we have placed are ready for pickup. Getting so few phone calls still doesn't stop my children from hovering by the phone any time it rings during our school time though.
The last one especially gave me a good laugh!
