At this point, you may have noticed the theme for the week.
This is creativity's downside. The inability to throw anything out because "we can make something out of this." I've started to try to treat this problem by limiting the amount of time I keep an empty container. After all, I know we will eventually have another empty container!

Oooh yeah - we have that problem here too :)
ROFL! If you could only see the storage shelves in my utility room right now. My 3yo has a meltdown whenever anyone tries to recycle a small plastic bottle. He has plans to make volcanoes with all of them. LOL
I used to have a closet full of empty bottles, cereal boxes, tops from gallon milk jugs and all sorts of stuff! I finally had to toss it, but it was tough. :-)
i finally had to define a space that holds all the clean recyclables, and we can't put anything in until we take something out.
but the boys figured out they could sneak more stuff upstairs by defining it as "good background for stop-motions". :^/
Did you pen this cartoon with me in mind? LOL. Thanks for submitting it for the CoH
Too funny, I just found an article this morning about how to make a weaving loom using an oatmeal container. I've been mentally trying to figure out how long it will take us to use up the oatmeal in our pantry so that I can have the empty container for this homeschool project!
Funny! I actually have 5 empty oatmeal canisters sitting next to my cupboards. DH just asked what I was saving them for, and I had to answer "I don't know...yet."
