Mine never seem to enjoy re-charge, tidy up, catch up days unless they are sick or having a growth spurt.
But they love gad about days as long as I remembered water in the car, and they see friends, and the friends are friendly, and they don't get too tired, or bored, or footsore...
LOVE IT!! When the play was over, it took over a week to get the house organized again. Unfortunately, tripping over stuff continually added to the desparate concern, "Will this place evr be clean again?" But the kids wanted to get out and go...I needed to be home!
Your book sounds fantastic...maybe a Christmastime read for me!
Sounds like my kids. I have to remind them that mommy's need break days in order to stay sane. Course if we ever have a crazy go, go, go week, then they understand a little better.

The grass is always greener - never satisfied? Obviously, his energy clock is not on the same time schedule as yours!
