Home Spun comic strip #642

Home Spun comic strip #642

We came home from our anniversary trip and we were up until 1:30 in the morning talking with our kids. They claim we are too interesting and keep them up. We say the same of them. Our bed becomes a roundtable for conversation about any point of interest and several comedy sketches. It's amazing my husband ever gets to work on time, they always have so much to tell us at bedtime. These are moments I will never forget.

Hey, Happy Anniversary! Good for you! I love your "love" list and can definitely relate to a lot it. Especially #20 - I can think of no one else I knew 23 years ago (Aug 6th) that I'd want sitting next to me tonight or in the future! I'm glad you enjoyed your time alone together, sorry about the menacing beetle and the rain but it made for a good story, right? You and your husband are a terrific match. May God bless you both with many more happy years!

My kids also like to talk at bedtime though not around our bed (Todd is usually there sleeping before me!) I pray with each kid individually and they usually have so much to say either before or after we pray. I try to listen and make eye contact as I know too well that this time is short. In fact, Alec just interrupted me here to say goodnight and various other topics! Thanks for your comment, by the way. Marina sounds like such a great young lady. Chad is also in no hurry to learn to drive and
I'm not pushing it either. You and I sure do think alike and I appreciate you!
Enjoy your weekend! - Kate

Having this kind of family communication is also "knowing you're a good parent". Love, Mom

That is so sweet!

When we went away for our anniversary trip, we came home and could not get enough of our kids!

I found a link to your other site on Three Thinking Mothers - I am one of the mothers- and thought I would say Hi and check out your blog!
