Books that make you laugh out loud (even on the subway!) are the greatest. Read on! Love, Mom
PS The way Jess just rears back her head - I can almost hear her laughing.

HSBA awards end this Friday. http://hsbapost.com/7th-annual-homeschool-blog-awards-nominations/ make sure you nominate Cristina's blog for either Best home school blog or funniest home school blog (technically my blog is slightly funnier, I checked.).

Every year I watch someone else win this award when she need some super serious consideration. This is an unsolicited unpaid endorsement on my part. Void in Argentina.

This is a good lesson showing us that we never know where we might a great idea or something to laugh at. It's not wise to underestimate either books or people. Hey, was that historical fiction about archaelogy something you really read?
Cheers,
Paula

Home School Dad: Thanks for the endorsement! That means more to me than awards. :o)

Paula: I loosely based this one on our reading the Amelia Peabody series by Elizabeth Peters.
She gives excellent depictions of archeological digs from the Victorian era through early 20th century.

I admit I have sometimes read books with the ulterior motive of getting a kiddo interested in it :-)
