Too often we watch what our homeschooling friends are doing with their children and we wonder, are we doing enough? When we ask this, we need to consider why. Are we wondering because our children have an interest that we hope to help them pursue, or do we have an interest we want them to pursue? There are many things I would love my children to try, but I have to remind myself that there are only so many hours in the day. There just isn't enough time for them to follow their dreams and mine.

Another good reminder for me. My oldest and I have very much been having discussions along these lines lately about how we do not all have the same likes, dislikes, interests, etc. and he absolutely does not have to be the same as everyone else. (More church nonsense, even in a church full of homeschoolers. I would like to eventually write about it on my blog if I ever have the time!)
