Over the years, I've found that the direct approach is not always the best approach, especially when dealing with spirited toddlers. Sierra always presented challenges for me. She could see through any attempt to teach her. The stealth learning I practiced with Marina and Chase could not be disguised for her. Whatever she did had to be her idea. And so I adapted and let her lead the way. Sometimes I still get nervous, especially around reporting and testing time. Luckily, as she has grown, she is more open to suggestions, especially if I ask Marina to make the suggestion.
Whatever it takes.

I love this! So very, very true. Sierra is definitely akin to my kids. ;-)
Tomorrow you can do the same strip, just draw some teenagers in it!
I like your laws of homeschooling. And it would seem you've learned a lot from your students and are aware of it - the mark of a good teacher. Love, Mom
Oh! I Have one of those. :D I sometimes have trouble finding the patience...
