Thank you to everyone who expressed concern for Chase. He's doing fine. The stitches were supposed to come out on Friday afternoon, but after the doctor looked at it, she decided to give it one more night to heal. So bright and early, Saturday morning, we went back and the stitches were finally removed. He's relieved. They were itchy. Here are some before and after shots.

There are seven teeny tiny stitches. He was bruised a bit from the shower-head hitting him. Everyone is afraid of the shower-head now. This photo was taken by Chase on his iPod, so it's a little grainy. Sorry about that.
After:
All that is visible is a tiny scar. The shine in both pictures is the antibacterial ointment. Considering it has only been about a week since the injury, I think he looks fantastic! I'm very thankful to the ER physician. He did a great job.

Well, at least, a bit of a scar can work for a guy. Just look at Harrison Ford. ;)
He has to get a good story to go with this. Like if someone says that it doesn't look so good he just has to say Yeah, but you should see the bear!

Every Black Belt is reached with some markings on the way to it. Always be aware of the hooks that life an throw at you to see if you're paying attention. Always be present in your present.
