Home Spun comic strip #779

Home Spun comic strip #779

Whoops. I've been so preoccupied lately, I completely forgot to post this! Sorry about that.

I always do my best to put up a brave face for the kids, especially when they were younger. It isn't always easy, but even if I fail, I feel it is important for them to see me move on and deal with whatever comes so they won't be afraid. And then, in those dark moments alone or with my husband, I allow my body a chance to whine and cry. I acknowledge those feelings so that I can get past them.

Lately, with the storms, then colds passing through our house for a week, and stresses from several other corners of my life, it's been hard to find that down time. So I look for release with some art and writing therapy. It makes me smile, and that's what I need. I remember to laugh and not to take myself too seriously.

Holidays are here, my friends. Please don't forget to take care of yourselves so that you can take care of your families. I remind you as a way to remind myself.
