Graduation day at the community college, 2013. I didn't have much luck photographing her at the ceremony itself. Were people always so rude about standing in aisles and blocking the view? We completely missed seeing her walk in with the banner for her field of study, visual arts. It was an honor to carry the banner for being the curriculum award winner for visual arts. We did see her walk the stage, but I didn't have a clear shot to get a picture. I guess I should have stood in the aisle like everyone else!
Technically, she doesn't receive her diploma until after her study abroad at Cambridge, but it fun to have this ending. As homeschoolers, this is the first time we were able to see our child in a cap and gown. She will receive her associate's degree in the visual arts, and then she moves on to the university in the fall.
