It's hard to start a group. The first year we did storytelling, it was usually just our three families. Usually we just read to each other. But we diligently kept it up. Eventually it caught on and we added some incentives, like inviting anyone who came to participate as a "guest storyteller." I added a storytelling workshop that I run once in September and again in March. I think we get a decent sized crowd now. It always pays to keep trying.

Needless to say, I'd be over to that storytelling group with my kids in a flash if I was in your district! What a great thing to do.
That book I mentioned was simply called, "Practice Random Acts of Kindness" and published by Conari Press. We bought ours at Angus & Robertson. It was a very good & inspiring read.
Blessings,

I admire your gumption! Maybe if I lived a slower less crazy life, I'd be more like you but I don't know that I've ever been as outgoing as you. You just keep impressing me!
