When the LEGO® bricks are strewn across the couch, books pile on every flat surface, and paper snippets give the floor that "parade just went through" look, I tell myself that learning is happening. Otherwise I would have to pick it all up. Again.
ROFL! Legos have a very distinct sound as they are dumped from a bin, don't they? :o) I know how you feel about the paper too - no piece of paper in our home is safe from my 3yo and his scissors. We definitely have the 'lived in' look as our decor.
What an amazingly accurate depiction of events that occur in our house every day! LOL I hate those darned Legos! I'm not very fond of modeling clay, construction paper, or noodles either!
