I think my older ones don't remember much of their Latin, but the roots and understanding how some languages are put together has been somewhat retained. :)

THAT is awesome!

I just found a pencil case at a thrift shop for 25 cents, it is a big hit because it has these two wheels on the front, when you turn them it rotates through all the states and gives each state's capitol city... I'm thinking about it because inside is a list of facts about each state - when it became a state, what each state is/was known for producing, etc. I bring it up because I am just sure that something similar to your hiccups will happen regarding states, or state capitols, or some other factoid from this pencil case in our future.
Isn't it fun to get these glimpses into how our kids' minds work?
