Home Spun comic strip #479
I can tell when I'm tired. I had a hard time with Jess' face in the first panel. Two layers of white out and then I was still adjusting it after I scanned it. Don't look at it too closely, OK?
I have to say, one of my favorite experiments is mixing baking soda and vinegar. It's one of the few I can't mess up. And I've messed up a few that were supposedly foolproof. I have a rock candy experiment that I'm going to dump soon. It's been sitting on the shelf for two months and no crystals have formed. I know I got it to work once. . .
Several years ago . . .
. . .Too bad the cat knocked it down . . .
. . . . . . And broke the glass . . .

Wow! I had a lot of catch-up reading to do. I absolutely loved your tribute to your dad: there's something special about someone you admire that admires you back. And your family photos are precious. Lastly, I hate experiments. I know that it's a shocker coming from a home school mom, but it's SO true. We do some anyway, but I'd MUCH rather help diagram sentences.
(And I did have to turn on the comment moderation due to pornography links being posted as comments. There's a bunch of sick folks out there...)
Sigh.
Our experiments NEVER work.
So I applaud when they work for someone else!!! :-D
I hardly ever have baking soda and vinegar in our house when I go to cook - it's been used for making explosions :)
we have a great story about tomato soup - when i accidentally tried to thicken w baking soda instead of corn starch . . . . and i tried the rock candy when I was a kid once . . i'd better start working on it .. .
