On Sunday of their trip, they went to the Sherlock Holmes museum. Outside of the Baker Street tube station was a statue of the detective...

She got to sit down with Dr. Watson. Sorry about the blurriness. I did my best to fix it...

Scenes from the books in wax (I think). Top left from The Red-Headed League. Top right, a macabre discovery at Shoscombe Old Place. Bottom left, from A Scandal in Bohemia. Bottom right Charles Augustus Milverton and his assailant.

After the museum, they took the tube to the Covent Garden station where they found another boundary marker for the City of London...

Love the photos. I am sure the trip to Sherlock Holmes museum was particularly meaningful for Marina, who probably read most of the books. I am intrigued by the London markers; did you know where to look for them? Love, Grandma

Not sure if my last comment got through so here's another. Marina, those books you liked at the museum, there were a whole bookcase of those old bound books in my grandmother's basement when I was a kid. Don't know what happened to them but like you, I just loved looking at them. Love, grandma
