Love it. I try very, VERY hard to avoid conversations about bed times because we are night owls around here. Your comic captures the response well!

You always know how to cheer me up! (I once again, stumbled into the uptight must beat your kids Christian zone while looking for more more resources.

I have always been amazed at how interested other people are in what time our kids go to bed and get up in the morning. When my daughter was little and my mother in law would watch her for the evening she would boast that she had her in bed by 8:30. We didn't not have her in bed by 8:30 because we couldn't, it was because that wasn't her bedtime.

Many many years ago, when I was a young mother, I used to wonder about other parents bragging about how their kids were in bed so early. I suspect now that it was creative exaggerated wishful thinking on their part. Love, mom

ROFL! My kids are usually in bed between 11 - 11:15pm. We are not morning people. We got into this habit years ago when my spouse's then job required him leaving home at 6:30am (sometimes earlier). There's no way they could have gotten up and had quality time with him in the mornings. He would often not arrive home until 7pm or later. When were they supposed to see him if we had them in bed by 8pm? I consider the ability to do what works for us one of the great beauties of homeschooling.
