Home Spun comic strip #735

Home Spun comic strip #735

One of the flaws of teaching the kids to cook and bake is that sometimes they overdo it. We try to be thrifty and freeze leftover pancakes, but they never seem to have the same appeal as they do fresh off the griddle. And then the following week, my son makes more, which means there are more leftovers. We never have this problem with cookies. No matter how many are made, the oven baked treats are gone in a matter of days. Maybe I should keep the pancakes in the cookie jar.

Speaking of baking, I'm planning to keep my comics going through the next few weeks, but I should warn my readers we are entering birthday season at our house. My father kicks things off on Sunday (he'll be 72) and then we will be on a birthday spree until the third week of May. Wish me luck. All my kids will have new ages by the end of the month.

Oh no, pancakes as tribbles!

Hahaha! There is a tribble resemblance. My mother is going to love that analogy!

I don't know how you can have leftover pancakes. And I agree - pancakes from the freezer do not taste the same. Love, Mom
