Home Spun comic strip #830

Home Spun comic strip #830

I was purposely vague with this one. This is a talk I've had so many times with each of them for different reasons. One might be afraid to try to draw faces, another may be hesitant to take a class, or to make a new friend. I believe in letting them do things they want to do, but I also believe that sometimes we need to nudge, to encourage them to try something out of their comfort zone. Just as I am, my children are their own worst critics. I don't want them to stop themselves from doing things they might enjoy for fear of failing.

This is something I need to tell myself more often. New experiences are difficult, and the fear of failure is real. But if you don't try, how will you know?

I agree totally. Well put. It takes courage to try something new and you are a woman of courage. Love, Mom
